Dress up week

Fifth grade participating in a STEM challenge to build the best turkey trap, seeing who can catch the most marshmallows, and completing a Mad Lib to practice parts of speech.










Kindergarten celebrating like they did for the first Thanksgiving.










Some of our fifth graders helped load the cans into the truck. We gathered almost 4000 cans. Colts serving our community during this holiday season.








Kindergarten read Turkey Trouble, by Wendy Silvano and the students worked to disguise their own turkey so he/she wouldn't get eaten for Thanksgiving as in the story. They talked about how the main character put on a disguise so he would not get eaten for Thanksgiving. They read all of the turkey books by Wendy Silvano and the students had to compared and contrasted, identified the main idea and key details.



Fifth graders enjoyed visiting the School of Tech last week. They got to hear about the automotive program, see how “germs” are easily spread, practice using sewing machines, and see how to build a 3D model of a pencil on the computer.









Third graders using Skittles and M&M’s to practice the distributive property of multiplication. What a tasty way to learn math!




We have 18 students participating in Elementary All County Chorus. Come out and support our students November 20th 6:00.

Eight of our wonderful students preformed with students from all of the state in North Carolina Honors Chorus.

Today we had around 170 people attend our All Pro Dads. The best part is telling each other why they are proud of each other.





PE club enjoyed their first field trip to Pin Station yesterday.
